This is wonderful Ron. I love everything about it. The soft background and sharp "crookedy" branch & web are just stunning. The light and colors are gorgeous. It couldn't be better. A+

Hi Ron,
I had no idea what to expect from the thumbnail and WOW! The spider did a wonderful job spinning this web but you did an amazing job photographing it. Just perfect. It shows off so well in the wonderful lighting. The intricate details are razor sharp. Fascinating to see how it is draped around the tree. This is very different and quite marvelous.

Hello Ron,
What luck to bump into this fine spider's web against such a beautiful background! A brilliant capture, very sharp and in wonderful colours. I like the way you included the twig on the right too! Excellent work!

Great shot, love the detail of the spider's web verses the soft background. Was it a little foggy when you took the picture? It helped create a great composition.

Hi Ron,
Wow! What a great image! Your focusing and light usage were right on the money. Such exquisite detail! The blurred background and hint of trees make the web really stand out. The spider you happened to encounter is indeed highly skilled. It's as though it had recently graduated from "web engineering" school. The spiraling to the center made me think about mathematical formulae. TFS.

Hi Ron,
A very attractive image, the branches act as a frame nicely. I think experimenting with f/stops would have been interesting, a wide-open shot would have thrown the background into softer focus, might be something to try next time, although I do like being able to tell that the photo was made in a forest, which was made possible by the stop you used.
Reminds me of back when I was in high school in the '60's and we had an anti-drug assembly where they showed us photos of the bizarre webs made by spiders that had been given LSD, not sure how that was supposed to scare us away from drugs, but it was interesting to see.

Ron, this is an outstanding shot. A breathtaking scene! I really like the softened background, which makes the sharp focus on the web so much more dramatic. You've captured the light in the dewdrops very well. I also like the fall colors in this scene.

Hello Ron !
Looking through your gallery, I immediately fell in love with this picture ! :-) I love everything - the composition, the light, the warm colors, the autumn mood with fog, the light, the shape of the black twig... It looks very quiet, very peaceful. A real pleasure for the eye. Very well done !

Ron, I enjoyed viewing this very much! You caught the image at the most appropriate moment in time! I wish I could get my lazy butt out of bed early enough to catch images such as this. But, alas, being a bachelor, I don't have a beautiful lady, such as you do, to encourage me to shake off the covers that early! Or is it the other way around? In any case... Great photograph and imagery!
