[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The fire is at the other side of the pass to Simi Valley, where I am taking this picture. Wind shifts change all day long, and Simi is safe, but thousands of other people are not. Every year, the fires are larger, and there are more of them at once. Some are set by nature, lightning often started them. Now most are set by humans, destroying the forest, homes, factories, stores, for what reason?

Nice image Gloria,
I like the way you composed this shot, the smokey sky with that brilliant sun peeking through is very eye catching.
Good use of the sharply focused tree for your frame work.
