Hi Adam, this image is totally awesome!
I can't believe your luck, seeing whales so close up.
But it took your incredible skills and quick reflexes to capture this breaching behemoth with such sharp details and in such a wonderful pose. This is the kind of picture we all dream of taking.
Congratulations !!!
Was Eric with you on this trip?

Hi Adam,
Long time no see. The first time I saw this photo I did not have enough time to critique it, so I made a note for myself to return to it. The photo is a stunner. The high arched jump is awesome. I love the perfect details on the whale and the wonderfully hazed and blurred BG. It really seperated the whale from the land. The brown shells on the chin of the whale break the blue grey tone wonderfully.
TFS,
Niek
P.S. You are lucky to have such a great friend.

Hi Adam
I'm glad to see that you've been doing a number of postings again recently.
Sounds like you guys really had an exciting and well rewarded day on the boat.
You have captured an amazing animal which few of us ever have the opportunity to do.
Excellent sharpness and spot-on exposure definitively gave the shot a visual plus.
I really like this one, great stuff.
Btw, I normally do not fancy a thick frame around a photo, but this one sure worked well.
Very well done and TFS.
Regards
Loot
