About as far as I can get, is to my mailbox area and I have been doing it on my scooter because the shoveled walkway is icy and I cannot risk falling. somewhere about halfway of the 750 foot walk is a small group of spruce trees. They are heavily laden with snows.

A spruce is a tree of the genus Picea, a genus of about 35 species of coniferous evergreen trees in the Family Pinaceae, found in the northern temperate and boreal (taiga) regions of the earth. Spruces are large trees, from 2060 (95) m tall when mature, and can be distinguished by their whorled branches and conical form. The needles, or leaves, of spruce trees are attached singly to the branches in a spiral fashion, each needle on a small peg-like structure called a pulvinus. The needles are shed when 410 years old, leaving the branches rough with the retained pulvinus (an easy means of distinguishing them from other similar genera, where the branches are fairly smooth).

Hi Bob. You take care out there. Your picture shows the extent of the snow fall that you have had. Although it looks very nice on the fir tree . The green stands out well. TFS.

hello Bob

beautiful image of the spruce tree surrounded by the snow,
with beautiful luminosity, excellent sharpness and details,
i love to see the Spruce Fruit in the image, TFS

Hi Bob,

Would this make a gorgeous Season's Greeting card!! This Spruce is beautiful with excellent greens and whites and fine details. Looks like a heck of a lot of snow. BE CAREFUL. I slipped on ice and broke my hip - vowed no more ice for me and moved to Arizona.

You may be snowed in but you make the best of it Bob!
Nice close-up of a snow-covered Pine (Pinus), not spruce, the exact species is hard for me to tell but it may be lodgepole. I guess the cones are a clue.
I like how some of the needles are just frosted while others have piles of snow covering them.
I hope the snowploughs are doing their bit so that you guys can shop to buy the necessities.

Hello Bob,
An excellent image showing the snowclad tree, it would not be the same without the cones ande branch showing through.. The lighting is also excellent in the scene.
Well Captured...
Keep safe,

You guys really got buried. I think you had a foot of snow for every inch we got. We've had so much rain in the part couple of days that all the snow is basically gone. It was actually pretty warm today.

I like the natural color, the sharpness, strong contrast, and nice exposure on the white snow. I think an even closer shot of the snowy needles and cones might be effective.

Hello Bob, I've been of TN for a while, and hopefully my NY resolution will be to visit TN more often.

Lovely Christmas snowy scene - the complete opposite from Down Under. I must look around for some sunny scenes to tease you with.

What a heavy load of snow there is on the tree. It looks great, especially with the tiny pine cones as well

Best regards
