The White Ibis, Eudocimus albus, feeds by probing the mud and sand for small crustaceans. Sometimes you will see a Snowy Egret following, picking off creatures the Ibis stirs up. I like to be at the marsh just as the tide begins rising, the waders begin to feed then.
