Will Sing For Sunshine
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Gray days, foggy days, just play dreary days, and feeling the blues days are enough to warrant a song if it will bring back the sun. In this case, this poor robin is looking up - perhaps looking for the yellow orb that warms the planet?
His song is cheery, but the way he kept looking at the sky caught my attention, especially as he continued to sing. I raised my camera and captured this moment, reminded of how ancient history (and not so ancient) tells us that people would do amazing things in trying to bring warmth back to a cold earth, dry earth, or sometimes, a soaking earth. That may not be the case here, but this cold, singing robin gave me a reminder of a history lesson from years gone by! Here's hoping the robin is a littler warmer now! (and his singing brings back the 'warm orb')
:-)

hello Kathy
a beautiful photography of one of my favorite birds,
shot with fine POV and framing with leaving a very
good space where the Robin is looking, i also love
the way he is framed by the branches, beautiful luminosity,
excellent sharpnes and details, TFS

Hi Kathy.
We have had nearly 3 months of mainly cloudy weather and I will just about do anything for some sunshine so that I can take some photos. The bird is sharp with good detail and colour.

Robin
Hi Kathy,
your robin is wonderful, it's such a cute one and I like your shot very much.
We don't have this specimen here, our robins are different to this one.
Thanks, very well done
