On a date to the beach with my daughter Zoe we saw this interesting caterpillar with long hair. He seemed to be taking a break from enjoying this plant.

Any ideas on an ID for this? What would this metamorphose into?

Hello Michael,
Great shot of what I believe is a Yellow Bear caterpillar. The detail is very good and the color is natural. Well done!!
I love to take photos of caterpillars whenever I get the chance. I seem to have trouble getting their heads in sharp focus, because they are always moving.
