This is the 'stuff' the insects are after. The nectar is in the center and in this case slightly greenish encased. Of course an incoming searcher will bump and touch the pollen which is serving two purposes...let us say..pollination procreates and then then nectar serves as a basis for honey bees. Nature is complex but when seen in simple terms of beauty.....it all becomes clear..

A nice way to present a source of nectar Bob, the wild rose being a mecca for many insects for this reason. The POV shows the circle of stamens around the nectar treasure very well in an attractive composition of form and colour. Makes me want to be a bee!

Hi Bob,the Leika and you work very well togheter!! What a impressive macro! A top quality pic in sharpness and colors, this purple is always difficult to take...very nice idea! My best compliments, have a nice week,LUCIANO

Woww... well observed and perfectly captured Bob. It is not easy to see nectar and fixed it in an image. But you did!
Superb in all around!
TFS and have a great new week MF!

Hi Bob,
Looks like you could have pulled back a bit here, and an f/stop of f/8 etc would have given you much better DOF
This looks just a touch soft and grainy although the colours are great.
I guess it will take a wee whle to get used to the new Leica.
Cheers & TFS

Nice macro, Bob. Great subject, especially the color and softish lighting. The DoF works for me. Might think about making the sexy bits a bit more off-center, though.

Hello Bob,
A beautiful macro of the centre of a wild rose. Lovely details and colours, I only miss the Bee, but I expect it buzzed off! :-)
TFS and kind regards, Ulla

Hi Bob,

The close-up point of view is showing with precision the center section of the flower. The subject is well framed. The light has a good effect on the colors. A feast for the insects. Have a nice day.

Bonjour Bob,
Splendide macro très finement détaillée.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.
