[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Under normal circumstances, I might find this a bad capture, but since I love dance, especially ballet, I took a second glance at it.

For some reason it appeals to me. It is a black-chinned hummingbird that was captured yesterday morning. I multiplied the photo by 40 percent because there was too much light. So, it was quite by accident I wound up with this result, and it's one I liked!

To me it oozes grace, agility, and strength. To hold one's body at such an angle for any length of time takes more strength than I have!

They are gluttons, true, but when watching them, I always feel as if I'm the audience of a performance and the best part? Admittance is free!

Kathy :-)

Hi Kathy,

Really glad you did, what a great capture, stunning in-flight shot of this beautiful black-chinned hummingbird, even at 1/400th we still get the motion of the wings, just highlights the shear energy this little bird must burn, really nice work t.f.s

Cheers Rick :)

Hey Kathy

I really like the picture! Superb moment and the catchlight is fantastic.

This is one of the ones you mentioned as one you liked..You have become quite the good specialty on this bird...Excellent backdrop so dark. I love this whole set and am looking forward to more TN posts1

Hello Kathy,

You said you have, the catch can not be judged as those achieved in common circumstances. I think you've captured a perfect moment, from a corner very supportive. With light levels rather than the recommended. But the result is pleasing and worthy of being appreciated.

Well done!, have a good weekend!

Nice shot Kathy,
To capture a hummingbird in flight usually takes a lot of patience and planning. I'm sure you put the time in necessary to get this cute pose. This reminds me of a conductor summoning his orchestra ready for a performance. TFS.
