[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
These are the same white fluffy blooms that were in my last post & workshop photo. I still can't ID them, but I can enjoy them! I think they are really cool. I hope this is sharp enough for Niek's eagle eyes but there isn't much I can do about it... I simply can't see it!!!!!!!!! @#$&%! Ah... the "Golden Years" :P

We will be leaving on our annual fall photo expedition this week (if all goes well). I'll be gone the rest of September. We are off to the Canadian Rockies. Then we will go again to Wyoming for much of October.

Happy Shooting
Evelynn : )

Thanks to Oana (oanaotilia) we now know that this is the seed stage of the Western Pasqueflower. The flower is also quite lovely. I'll post an image as a workshop.

Hello Evelynn
a beautiful composition with excellent point of view and perfect DOF. Colorful flowers are optimally in focusing with a great balanced light giving great contrast in every different tonalities captured.

Hi Evelynn,
This is where your painters eye came into action. You really have an eye for these type of compositions. I love the many different colors and shapes of these flowers. Your choise of DOF is lovely, it still gives an idea of what is in the BG without making it too sharp. Sharpness in general is perfect!!
TFS,
Niek

P.S. I hope one of the flower experts is able to ID them for you.

Hello Evelyn,

This is such a beautiful shot with so many brilliant colors & such fine details. Excellent POV & well done. TFS.

Umar

Hello Evelynn,
It's hard to believe that this is not a garden of some kind! It is a fantastic splash of floral colours against the dark coniferous BG and the POV is great. Technically flawless too.
The white fluffy heads look like seed heads to me, but what they were as flowers is beyond me.
Thanks and have a good weekend,
Ivan

The splash of colors is just splendid.

Hello Evelynn,
Wow, if this was my garden....
Yes, a fantastic sharp detailed photo in very beautiful colours and a perfect POV and composition. Great DOF and dark contrasting OOF BG.
Have a good trip,
Peter

Hi Evelynn!

It's nice to see you're active again.. I love the happy images you presented in the last postings. Colors are brilliant here, well detailed image showing these special plants over the vivid flowers. TFS!

Best regards,
Andor

Hi Evelynn,
what a spectacular shot! Composition, the light DOF all very well handled. You're worried about sharpness? Go get a Mac screen 23" like me and you will see all you need to see :-) The image is perfectly sharp.

My best regards from Switzerland
Dietrich

Bonjour Evelyn,
Splendide bouquet champêtre naturellement bien composé et magnifiquement restitué sous une très belle lumière qui fait resplendir les couleurs.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.
Gérard

Hello Evelynn,
This is truely amazing & beautiful. I have never seen them in the alpine region of Himalayas. The details of white fluffy blooms are excellent. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, amazing shot, Evelynn. This must be a planted garden, right? [Oh, I guess you can't say for fear of getting pulled from TN.] Nevertheless the flowers are amazing. I like your rendition of it -- one of those shots that really doesn't have or need a focal point.
Mike
P.S. Enjoy Wyoming (Jellystone and Grand Tetons). Holle if you get near Lethbridge (east of Waterton).
