Hat Point View
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is another photo made from Hat Point. This is a view across Hells Canyon with the state of Idaho on the other side. If you look closely, you can see a very small part of the Snake River and have an idea of the depth of this canyon.
There aren't many trees blocking the view. This is not because of the high altitude (6,982 feet high) but because of a huge wildfire. The odd thing is that Hat Point has a fire watchtower but it looks like they were not able to do anything about that one.
This is a stitch of three photos. Allowing me to get a higher resolution photo and more air. |

Hi Niek
An interesting composition - the clouds and division of the frame lead the eye to the distant canyon.

Hi Niek,
a wonderful wide open view that shows the depth and expanse of Hells Canyon. Details and clarity are both excellent and the job you did on the stitching is superb, seamless in fact.
Personally i think that perhaps a little could be cropped off of the very top of the image as i feel the empty space of blue is perhaps a little to much.
However, personal opinion is always subjective and this by no means detracts from what is a beautiful and techincally very well done image.

Hello Niek,
I had seen the picture and wanted to come back on it. For me this is an amazing view on this deep valley, impression you so well transmit with your shot. I like a lot the viewpoint you have chosen, showing the river just in between trees. And the most beautiful sky adds to the impressive landscape. Just surprised to see no more critiques, but don't mind, the picture is excellent!
Kind regards
Anne
