[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Here's my crack at one of our photographic icons in North America. In honor of Ken Burns' new series "The National Parks: America's Best Idea" that is running on PBS now http://www.pbs.org/nationalparks/. Compositionally, I was trying to balance the falls on the left with the rocks on the right. |

Oh..Mike... I think you mean Yellowstone Falls.
Great shot and Ken Burns must have thought so too... he has sure included the falls enough times in the NP series so far! I love the series and have learned so much. I hope tit won't make the parks even more crowded!
We are leaving for there in about 10 days. I hope it won't be too cold.
Evelynn :)

Spectacular waterfall shot Mike!!
The composition is very eye catching, you see the wonderful falls as well as the surrounding cliffs and forested areas. Beautiful natural colors along with sharp focus make this a top notch image. TFS.
By the way, I got to see part of the PBS. broadcast about our national parks.

Hi Mike
Now here is a grand waterfall, I can hear the water crashing down at the bottom of the gorge. You've captured a spectacular view with the walls of the gorge lite up by the sun. A gorgeous spot.

Really like this shot. Especially the transition from light to shadows. Can tell that this was taken early in the morning. Great color in the rocks as well.
