[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photo was taken in the Indian Heaven Wilderness area in Washington, just to the east of where I live. This was found on the trail down after several hours of hiking around beautiful lakes, and stunning views.

Fan-leaved Cinquefoil: (Potentilla flabellifolia)
Family Rosaceae – Rose family
The flower, which has five petals, gets part of its common name from the French word for the number five, which is "cinq."

Hi Lori, what a beautiful display of your Cinquefoil. We have one similar but they are called Buttercups and are of the Ranunculus family. Excellent composition and the colours are brilliant. Very well shown, thank you.
