Dear Katie
Excellent photo because it tells a story and includes the bird's environment. My one suggestion is to crop about 25% off the bottom and 10% off the left side. This would tell your story more forcefully. Also, when viewing the thumbnail, I did not notice the eagle in the tree - which would be larger in a cropped photo - and make me more likely to view the picture in a larger format.
