It has been a while since I have posted an image of what I now call MY Palouse...but the true Palouse as seen here covers hundreds of sq miles in Idaho and Washington. It is one of the most fertile growing grounds in the world after having a few layers of ash from Mt Mazama and Mt St Helens...but even during the late 1800's when homesteaders moved out the Indians...it continued to thrive. Now it is dispearring and along with it many very rare grasses seen nowhere else in the world. I am so much in love with this are that I am documenting what man is doing to it..here of course it is being used properly..and in between a farmers long running marks are still wild grasses and dozens of creatures and critters....this particular section is about 15 miles from any city!

Hello Robert.
Fantastic composition and range of colours. The texture of this pic is very warm, and the overcast sky gives the landscape much more vibrancy overall.Best regards Siggi

A beautiful view of rolling fields with just the right amount of wilderness Bob, and that cloudy blue sky makes it a fine composition indeed. Your "Palouse" is an admirable place my friend.

Hi Bob,
Love this fresh picture of the land you love.
It has an epic scale to it. The vastness of America can be sensed from this view of the undulating fertile tract apparently used for agricultural purpose.
Those gentle curves and contours make a highly aesthetic composition. The sunshine and the synergy between the earth and the sky is markedly palpable in this autumnal phase of the earth.
Hope you and Jane are keeping well.

hello Bob

from your beautiful landscape photos you are letting us
dream to your Palouse, a very beautiful landscape photo
of a wonderful place, you choose always fine POVs,
i love the contrast between the ground's warm and
the sky's cold colour tones, TFS

Dear Bob!

Many thanks for this superb picture of your beloved Palouse. Thanks to the fact that I perfectly well remember many of your other pictures of this beautiful landscape I recognized it immediately. It must be a particular pleasure to walk through these delicate hills discovering fine shapes, lines and lightplays. I also like how you are pointing out the damages human beings cause to our environment...

Kind regards

Hello Bob,
That's your beautiful Palouse and we start to know it well too thanks to you! It's a pleasure for the eyes to see this landscape with its typical fine palette of colors and the wide skies which we don't usually see here.
A most peaceful sight and I hope it will stay like that for ever.
Kind regards

Hello Bob,
Beautiful photo of your favorite landscape. It's so different of what I see when I look out of my window.
Great natural colours, good sharpness and an excellent composition. Well chosen POV.

Hi Bob,

The different type of geometric lines of the scenery are assets to the composition. The point of view is taking my eye toward the summit of the hill which is giving depth to the photo. The quality of the light is enhancing the beauty of the colors. Have a nice day.

A beautiful view, Robert, it's a wonderful place where you live. Not so many people and so much "nature".
I like the atmosphere in your shot, thanks

This looks more like a shot from Markus' genre of natural graphics, Bob, even he'd love it... yes I see he does...
I feel helpless, Bob, we can sit and watch, click, publish and do all we can, but the plunder goes on...
Thanks for the share, my friend

Hello Bob,
A perfectly composed image of some really beautiful rolling hills. Reminds me a lot of the landscape in Amish country, down in Holmes county.
Love the contours and contrasting colors you managed to show so effectively. I can definitely see why you have fallen in love with this special place of yours. TFS.

Ciao Bob, splendid landscape with wonderful natural colors, superb sky, very well done, have a good Sunday, ciao Silvio
