Hi Mary,
this photo you show is just simply beautiful.This species is one of the world's rarest and deserves to be photoed until one's camera breaks.I have uploaded a photo of whoopers as well,taken at the Calgary Zoo and only because of their rareness.I see nothing about this photo I dislike and that leg band only means that this birds is highly thought of and people want to know more about it's life.I like the fact that this bird is free to come and go as it pleases,so you who are hunters out there,back off and leave them be as a life sentence in prison is all you deserve if you should kill one of these birds.Thank you,Mary for sharing this most elegant and rare species.Outstanding!

Getting an all white subject exposed correctly is always a real challenge, but you have managed it wonderfully. Very fine detail, excellent DOF and beautiful natural colors!! Well done!!
