|This was taken at Merritt Island Florida over looking Cape Canaveral. The small building slightly to the left is one of the largest buildings in the world. It is the Vehicle Assembly Building (VAB) where they built they Saturn 5 rockets for the Apollo missions and now the space shuttles. |
The Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge is a beautiful place. It was established in 1963 as an overlay of NASA’s John F. Kennedy Space Center and covers 140,000 acres.

Wow, how beautiful is this picture, Mark, I really think it is outstanding! The light is fantastic, I love the nice reflection of the colourful clouds in the water, the brightness of the sun ready to come out, its rays and the pink line of the horizon. Very nice and instructive as well, I didn't know Cape Canaveral surroundings were so beautiful.
I was there few years ago and have seen this in my own eyes- looks amazing, hard to describe:), Your picture is fantastic, beautifull sun rays coming behind these cumulus clouds, nice composition, great water reflections. Only one small thing- You should crop the small grass shaped plants in the lower right corner- not much disturbing but always;)
Thanks for sharing,
Hello Mark! Amazing seascape, wonderful sky and clouds, fantastic light. Good long perspective, very good POV and capture. Well done!

The colours and light rays are really stunning - but what adds the scale to this is the vehicle assembly building which is dwarfed by the cloud structure. I really like how the light rays have changed the colour of the clouds that they are catching.
The sun burst is marvellous! beautiful range of colours in this.
