[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
While walking in the woods at Leesylvania State Park in the fog and rain this morning, I came across a log covered with oyster mushrooms which I think were Pleurotus ostreatus. They were shiny and beautiful in the rain.

Here's their botanical description:
Kingdom: Fungi
Phylum: Basidiomycota
Class: Agaricomycetes
Order: Agaricales
Family: Pleurotaceae
Genus: Pleurotus
(Fr.) P. Kumm.
Type species
Pleurotus ostreatus
(Jacq.) P. Kumm.

Hello Neighbor,
Funny we both chose to post mushrooms today. You show a beautiful group of mushrooms shown with excellent detail and in a soft pleasing light. Great DOF and perfect exposure!!
