Hi Tom,dynamic! Not only is this image a dynamic one it has a great amount of detail drawing one's eye to it and that makes this a joy to see.The slight blur the image has helps to convey the sense of motion very well and the only thing I wish could be different would be a nicer light for that added colour saturation,as that makes for a more lively image.Still a very good image of one of my most photoed birds here where I live.A fine photo and thank you kind sir for sharing it with us all.

hello Tom
WOW ! i have seen in-flight close up photos of birds of prey on TN
but not close as your photo (or i don't remember),
a great shot with superb focus sharpness and details,
the expression of this Hawk's glance and its flight pose
are bringing dynamism to the image, TFS

Hi Tom , wow ! close encounter of the Bird kind :-D , a very impressive shot no doubt about that. I like the composition , color , and fair detail. I have tried for inflights with the same body and lens combo so have a pretty good idea of how close this is , and how fast the moment passes ;-) , if I had got this shot myself , I would firstly feel pretty darned lucky , but afterward would wish for two things , that the day/light had gave up a bit more shutter speed with a bit smaller aperture , and that the focus point managed to land a bit higher on the Hawk. not at all a criticism but owning the same lens I am very aware of the detail it is capable of , I hope next time fortune smiles a bit more fondly , a bit more luck with circumstance and this image would not be great , but amazing :-)
thanks for sharing
regards

Hi Tom,
woh! beatiful bird, shoted whit very good result at 1/500s, impressive details and atractive low blurred wings. I think a more open croping is better, but this a matter o taste. Regards, Jesús

Hello Tom,
Not a perfect photo when I see the exposure and the result of it, but a very close photo of this Ted-tailed Hawk. A great moment in nice natural colours and a good POV and composition.
Regards,
Peter

Hello Tom,
Incredible action shot showing this beautiful hawk in full flight as it maneuvered by you. Love the detail you managed to capture even though you only had a split second to react to this event. Love the way you can see the underside so vividly and the gorgeous patterns in it's wings. Great work!!

Wickedly good shot Tom. Love the dangling legs. It would make a good new mascot for the U.S.A. LOL Nice capture. Trevor
