this is very similar to our some Aythya species here, but a bit different, e.g. A. marila and A. nyroca. this is also very beautiful. you greatly captured it with superb exposure and great focus. eyes contact and POV very nice. composition and colors also great. thanks for sharing this beauty. best wishes my friend

This is really a special image. The colours of the feathers is striking, the expression on the face priceless and the orange polka dot eye beautiful. The different stripes on it's beak is very eye-catching. I love the ripples made by the swimming movement of the bird, as well as the shiny colourtones in the water. A beautiful waterbird indeed. Hi Everton. I have to say this is a text book style picture of the Ring-necked Duck . This is one i have not seen before so thanks for posting this on TF. Its a very proud looking upright bird. All with fine detail and natural colours. TFS . with interesting notes.

I finally understand why this duck is called Ring-necked. A wonderful view of the ring and a beautiful picture of the duck. I love the fancy black and white beak, the yellow eye, and the lovely feathers - all with fine details. He is posing so nicely for you!

Beautiful, sharp duck portrait, minimalistic yet quite pleasing composition. Excellent exposure (no oe on the white parts, or a very few indeed) while there are plenty of details on the black feathers, too. Great job MF, congrats and tfs.
