|I arrived just in time to survey the scene before me as the cloud passed through the sun's rays, and as the sun reappeared each face of the Pallisades were cast in beautiful light, each one at a time. This was taken with 200 ASA B/W negative film and scanned.|
If you would like to see my nocturnal images of Clarno and of the Painted Hills taken the following morning beginning at 11 and ending at 2 AM,go to my other Trek sites on Sunday and you will find them there. Believe me, the month of March may not be one of your favorite choices for staying in your car at night at the Clarno or anywhere within the three John Day Fossil Bed Units, a mere 26 degrees.

You are out in you car during a very cold winter-night?
Here you show an amazing landscape, a rock like a castle! Must having fantastic to see it with the sunrays between the clouds on it. Special choice to show the picture in black and white, may be the contrasts might be seen better.
This black and white image brings a dramatic look and feel to this rocky landscape, similar to Ansel Adams I'd say. Lots of nice textures and contrast here. Looks like a great time to be out.
