Nice to have you as my neighbour!
This is a fine portait of a Blue Grouse cock taken from a good low lateral POv with excellent sharpness and colours. The lighting and composition with the natural habitat are great too.
Must be a fine experience to see him diplaying!
Thanks and enjoy your weekend,

The clarity is OUTSTANDING!!!
Superb piece of imagery!!! Loved the notes.
Thanks for travelling so far to register this bird so that the world would view it. We, city folk, never get to even imagine its beauty.
Thanks Rick for sharing your adventures.

A fine capture of a Blue Grouse which is also a novelty for me. Sharpness turned out well. The background shows its natural habitat, and while it might look better blurred a little more, it's not distracting. The subtle shades of color in the bird are beautiful MF!
TFS and have a nice Sunday!

What a super shot! As with owls, I don't seem to go where grouse go, so I don't have a single photo of one. They look like they can very effectively hide in their environment. The plumage in your shot is superb. The grouse's eye is fantastic. Great colours and a BG that sets off the bird very well. It's always tricky, when you have a bird on a hill, to compose the shot properly. Yours looks very natural. TFS.

I have heard of the Bluse Grouse, but have never actually seen one. This is a great shot of this particular bird. They look like they are a fairly hefty bird and their plumage is very attractive as well as camoflauged. Well done!!
