Pollen on Hibiscus
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Every spring, I start a new garden at my home. I mostly use annuals, so that I get to do it all over again next spring. For 2010, I had a Hibiscus plant. It was a pleasure seeing it grow and flower. We had an average of 5-7 flowers per week, upto 10 in peak flowering season. This picture was shot on a cloudy day in late June. It had probably about to rain, and I noticed how the pollen from the stamens of a neighboring flower had rubbed off on this bud. Had to capture it! |

The un-opened flower is quite nice and in focus with excellent light.
