I shot this from VERY far away using a Sigma 300mm running at full throttle..and this is also highly cropped. There was a fence between me and getting any closer. Although I have seen this type of duck before, I have not come up with an ID yet. Perhaps I am not close in enough. There wold be a good environmentalist image then.

These are two bayducks. It are a male (left) and female (right) Redhead, aythya americana. They are swimming in a very beautiful environment. Very nice photo.

Hello Bob,
A nice shot of what looks like a pair of Redhead ducks to me. I like the way you included a lot of their natural habit in this nicely composed image. TFS.

Excellent photo except for the aluminum can floating in the background...

Hello Bob,
there is a strange kind of beauty that I discovered from your shot here. The light that rule the dried grass and branches render a special effect . I dont know how but it does.
The two ducks is a beauty, but I was slow in realising the front one as the centre one is more colourful.
Quite a challenge to my eyes.

Hello Bob,

i see Peter give the ID already.
Nice shot from this ducks in the water between the reed.
Fine colors.
What are that alumium?

Hi Bob,

The reflections on the water of the pond are assets to the composition. The distance between the ducks and the vegetation is giving depth to the composition. the point of view is shpowing the details and colors of the ducks. The good luminosity is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.

Hello Bob,
Very well composed frame with two beautiful ducks. The overall environment is superb.

Hello Bob,
Without the two cute little Ducks this environment would look quite mysterious! I expect the light was bright as the colours seem very pale. Looks very peaceful though and I like the composition!
TFS and best wishes, Ulla
