[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This Peregrine Falcon was photographed in Vermont at the VINS preserve.

Used a 1.4x extender giving me 280mm FL to achieve a close-up of this raptor. I used the polarizer turned only partially to get the desired color saturation.

PS3 was used to crop and get the bokeh background bringing maximium attention to the subject.

Hi Larry, You have some excellent bird photos in your gallery, which are wonderful to see. This image is particularly sharp and with natural colours. Details of its feathers beak and eye is what i like best. Beautiful nature image. TFS. Murray
PS your 70-200mm lens works well with the subject 100% and the background mottled and non-distracting.

Hi Larry,

This is a wonderful portrait of Peregrine Falcon.

If you wish you may do little sharpness with Picasa 3 which is free on web.

Hi Larry,

Perfect pic as per details and colors. And, as a good start, peregrines are beautiful birds.
Strange to have chosen to truncate the tail and claws though.
