This bull Elk was captured feeding on young evergreen trees as the snows are so deep. This was taken along the Undine Creek in Northern Yellowstone. I'll post a photo in a workshop to show you just how impressive a rack this old boy has to carry around.

Good day friend Rick, I am not going to present here the next workshop with white balance corrections etc.etc., and rather express my opinion that you really have managed to deliver a lovely documentary shot with this post. Not the most aesthetically balanced image in my view, but that is nature in its purest form and a set up often is impossible! Perhaps you should wait a bit for the Elk to move from its position, just a bit. The foreground dry tree, is clearly a distraction in this frame. For me this is a kind of image which can not give you ultimately a visual satisfaction and in the same time, you can not describe it as a bad image at all!
