I was of good fortune to snag a ride in a comfortable car which accommodated my disabilities. My sister-in-law drove me out to Turnbull Wildlife Refugee for the second time in 1 1/2 years since my release from the hospital.

A local lake, one of hundreds, is home to thousands of migratory birds. Here we see a mother Mallard giving her young teenaged ducklings a swim in a quiet but very large area. Together they swam, making a huge wake and a perfect time for that occasional environment shot. Thanks for swimming by my lens today Ms Mallard!

Hello Bob,
Looks like the young ones are almost as big as mama as they play follow the leader. The wide angle in this instance is a real bonus, as it shows their line of travel in an attractive manner. Beautiful coloration and nice sharpness to the entire scene. Well done!!

Beautiful capture with great simplicity and fine composition Sir Robert Shannon! Bravo!

Hello Bob,
What a beauty! And an entertaining note. The ducks in single file (well almost) and the patterns of ripples are just beautiful in this splendid image. I would not crop off anywhere. Well done and best wishes.

Hello Bob.
Very cute scene.Well caught, framed and composed.Clear details,POV and sharpness are also excellent.
Best regards Siggi

Hi Bob,

The capture of the wake is an asset to the composition. The point of view is showing the details and colors of the mother mallard duck and of her ducklings. The giood luminosity is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Hi Stranger,

Yes, I have been a bit of a stranger lately too. It's good seeing you again and I'm so glad you are doing better and better. I love this quartet and the huge wake they are creating. These ducks always remind me of our quails - the families stick together in the same way. Prettier on water than on rocks! I love this unusual composition. Take care, Bob.

Poco habitual este ángulo de disparo, sin embargo has conseguido
una toma de gran naturalidad.

Bonjour Bob,
C'est très artistique, minimaliste et presque abstrait.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.

Hello Bob

Beautiful environmental photo of this family of mallards,
i love the felling of being far from the subjects,
fine POV that shows the beautiful ripples of the water,

Hello Bob,
Beautiful graphism in this shot my friend. The small ripples and water trails adds interest in the frame. Love the light and minimalist approach in this composition.
Kind regards and keep warm.
