Forbes Parrotfinch (Erythrura tricolor)

Chose this picture for you, on this day, because it's dear to me. (my first presentation was removed)

It was an incredible moment as incredible as you all are to me here. Thank you so much for all your input this year. There was a time, a pocket camera time, where I would upload without a second thought, exact opposite today. Its so great to have down time and spend it here learning new techniques and discovering new species, animals mammals and insects GLOBALLY in tune. A humble bow to all

This lil guy was spied in an aviary. As vibrant as they are they can be difficult to detect - perfectly camouflaged when sitting in the green vegetation. This day was fortunate as it was foraging PSEUDOBOMBAX ELLIPTICUM or Shaving Brush Tree. (Ironically this is the very first picture i ever uploaded here on Trek in 2010) I was fortunate to capture this lil guy once before and another gifted photographer taught me how to use NEAT processing to sharpen up photos after they are pixeled shrunk here :0)

And to top it off reading about the Forbes Parrotfinch and how; "Like most of the Parrotfinches the Forbes Parrotfinch is a very active bird which feels unhappy in a small cage. The will get fat very soon and no longer be the vivacious avian jewel.." humm
