This (I believe) is a Great Blue Heron. It is a wader, and is found all over the lower forty-eight states. They primarily eat fish and mice, but are known to eat anything that will fit down its beak. Per National Geographic: Blue Herons have been known to choke to death on fish that are too big. Think of that, next time you are at the buffet table!
