As spring arrived, everything is coming up flowers. Even some of the shamrocks hiding between grasses in my lawn are popping up with these bright yellow blossoms.

The shamrock refers to the young sprigs of clover or trefoil. It is known as a symbol of Ireland, with St. Patrick having used it as a metaphor for the Christian Trinity, according to legend. The name shamrock is derived from Irish seamróg, which is the diminutive version of the Irish word for clover (seamair) meaning simply "little clover" or "young clover"

Beautiful photo of these flowers in great contrasting colours. The sky looks a bit oversaturated. Excellent sharpness and taken from a nice low POV.

The species is Oxalis pes-caprae . This plant is indigenous to South Africa and an invasive species and noxious weed in many other parts of the world.
