After a Spangled Skimmer (Libellula cyanea) male, next comes a female. Another species-couple.. once again, side-by-side in my gallery!

Happy :)

Like i said, the previous post was on a male Spangled Skimmer (Libellula cyanea), and this one a female. I found both of them in the same region. Waseeka Wildlife Sanctuary, Hopkinton.. on two different days.

Waseeka Wildlife Sanctuary, now a days, has turned into a hub of dragonflies.. but not all available species can be found there.

Hi Ruby,
Good to see you on TN again (as always). Gorgeous macro shot with fantastic textures on the wings due to the great sharpness. Fabulous composition also. A stunning shot (well, maybe except for the pointless watermark...).
Best regards, László

Hallo Ruby
What a beauty. I love the colour tones and the composition and great viewpoint. The image is wonderfully sharp. Further to that I agree with Laszlo that this is a gorgeous macro. I also don't fancy the watermark. Thanks for sharing. Best regards.

Hello Ruby,

Hope you are well. This is a wonderful shot, my neighbour and I do hope too that your photographic pursuits are going great, take care,

warm regards,

Hello Ruby

You got the angle, focus and exposure just right to catch the light reflecting off its wing tips without much affecting the overall sharpness on this fat tailed dragonfly. Well done.

hallo Ruby

Hello Ruby,
A great shot of this pretty Spangled Skimmer. You managed to capture some wonderful detail and beautiful colors. I really like the way the sun is making it's wings sparkle. Excellent focus and nice blurred BG.
