I found this beauty on the underside of a Solomon's Seal leaf in my yard this afternoon. This is one of the species of Cicadas that make lots of racket up in the trees at this time of year. I'm not sure which genus or species it is yet.
Edit: Changed my mind, now I think this may be a light morph of Tibicen pruinosus.
I used the on-camera flash with a Puffer flash diffuser for lighting. Camera was hand held. |
