|Haha when I look at this dragonfly I just picture it saying in a sly type of way 'What's up?' When in fact I was able to catch it shift its head to the side really quickly.|
This dragonfly happens to be this kind, this is from wiki:
The Blue Dasher (Pachydiplax longipennis) is a dragonfly of the skimmer family. It is common and widely distributed in the United States.
Male on a Lotus Leaf
Mature males develop a bluish-white pruinescence on the back of the abdomen and, in western individuals, on the thorax. They display this pruinescence to other males as a threat while defending territories at the edge of the water.
Mature male with blue-white abdomen and thorax
Although the species name longipennis means "long wings", the wings are not particularly long. Females do, however, have a short abdomen that makes the wings look longer in comparison.

Great close-up shot showing the cute facial features of this Blue Dasher. Yes, it really does look like it's smiling at you. Can you imagine what was going through it's mind as it watched you pointing a strange looking contraption at it and then hearing the shutter go off. It probably turned it's head and said "hey try again....this is my best side":)
Very nice POV, excellent composition, great sharp details, and excellent natural colors. I like the pose of this beautiful dragonfly. Very well done, and thanks.
Good focus on the eyes and face of this dragonfly, Elena.
It's a daring point of view and you have got off with it quite successfully.
The color of the eyes has also been well captured.
Interesting POV Elena! Excellent composition and wonderful lighting too!
