Was trekking through my favorite stomping grounds; Wakodahatchee Wetlands when I saw the moon rising and it was a FULL one at that. The birds were just starting to come in to roost when the idea hit me; "maybe catch one right in front of the moon"? Well the moon kept on rising higher and higher and suddenly. just when thinking maybe missed an opportunity; this one Egret turned and GOT THE SHOT!!!

For those of you who maybe have not seen these birds fly in from everywhere will share a short clip I have of this area. ENJOY!!! :) Short clip of area

Hello Brenda, How neat is this!!
I think every photographer dreams about someday capturing a shot like this. I know I've always thought it would be great to photograph a flock of geese in this same setting, but the opportunity never seemed to happen.
The timing was perfect and so was the settings of your camera, as exposure is just right and focus is tac sharp. Congratulations!!!
Ron
PS. I really enjoyed watching some of your videos, especially the one showing all the many birds in this particular area, Pookie and Generations Play.

Hello Brenda.
A beautiful silhouette perfectly frozen against a fiery moon BG . No doubt, a work of a master! TFS.Regards Siggi

Hi Brenda
Sorry but I do not like this light margin around the bird, it looks like a bad photoshop trip to me
The compo is obviously great, maybe a better post processing...
Thanks and please take this only as my personal view
