[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
While visiting my youngest daughter Kelly who lives in Oklahoma, I spotted this adult Barred Owl sitting up in a tree. It's mate was nearby, but didn't stick around long enough to capture any photos of it.

I don't often get the chance to see these beautiful Owls of the night. I was thrilled to be able to photograph this particular bird before it joined it's mate in the dense foliage of the forest canopy.

Congratulations, Ron! That magnificent capture of this Barred Owl. Great sharpness, with fab details describing the majestic plumage of this nocturnal bird of prey.
Smart choice this square frame, tight to the bird's body to maximize display. I also think it is a good example of the use of flash. Great job, mate.

Hi Ron.
What a touching scene. Eye-contact with photo model is awesome. I like great use of flash. Light spots in birdís eye are simply charming. Details are terrific and natural a bit blurred surroundings supplements the image of the owl perfectly. TFS and kind regards. Thanks for warm words to my last picture.
