Family Emberizidae: Icterus galbula (Northern "Bullock's" Oriole)
These guys love grape jelly and frequent our humming bird feeder. Note the jelly on his beak! We have a male and female eating us out of house and home! We love them. This is a male. |

A beautiful species of Orioles from your country, Michael.
The colors in particular have been well captured.

Hello Michael,
Although the details in the black and white parts are not on the top, the sharpness in the bird as a whole is good. Taken from a nice POV with eye contact, excellent timing. Beautiful natural colours.
Regards,
Peter
Bonsoir Michaël,
Une belle attitude du sujet saisie sous un bon angle de prise de vue et dans une belle lumière permettant d'apprécier la délicatesse des couleurs.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.

Hello Mike,
I have not been on alot lately, so I missed this shot. I have never seen this little beauty in the wild, but it is sure a colorful Oriole.
What I find most interesting is that you managed to obtain just the right exposure on the bright yellow areas of it's plumage. I have a bugger of a time getting the correct exposure on all yellow birds. You managed quite nicely on the focus too, as the detail in it's plumage and facial features is quite evident. Great shot!!
