I took this shot of a male Northern Parula this spring while up at Magee Marsh. It is funny how some years certain birds seem to be scarce and other years there is an abundance of them. This year I probably saw more Northern Parula then any previous year.

I love the rich contrasting colors of this beautiful little warbler. Northern Parula love to feed at the tips of branches, so if you wait for just the right moment, you will capture a pose free of most obstructing leaves.

Hi Ron,
Once more charming bird in front me. What a cute creature and wonderful shot. I think every birder in Europe would wish to see such rarity in autumn. Amazing coloration and brilliant reproduction. Excellent picture.

Hi Ron.
Shapes and colouration as well as pose of the bird are really very cute. I am impressed with reproduction of every colur tone and every feather of the bird. Twig with attractive leaves and buds is also sweet point of the image. BG is simply amazing too. Well done and warm regards.
Alexei.

Hi Ron,

The branches are helping to frame the bird. The point of view is showing the details and the colors of the Northern Parula. The good luminosity is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.
