Hello Brenda,
What a terrific shot you got of this young Yellow-crowned Night Heron. Very good detail allowing us to view it's beautifully marked plumaged and bright orangish eye. I'm sure the crab has a different opinion of the event:)
I must say your video is even more impressive, I like the little swaggering dance it gives just before it picks up the crab. I can't imagine what it must feel like swallowing something whole that has legs and claws as it goes down. Gives me the willies :0

Wow...what a closeup of this young Heron. Superb details of the beautiful plumage and even on the poor little crab. Great contrast with the pleasant, soft surroundings. Very nice video too!

Wicked shot Brenda. I'm jealous. Perfect focus as well. Can't beat that. Colours and details are great. I like the frame job, but a bit more space above his head might be nicer.
