[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Ever since the sunflowers have matured with seeds, the birds have been busy visiting our garden. The Goldfinches and House Finches have been having a field day stripping the heads of their delicious seeds.

The female House Finch doesn't have the red patches of her mate, but her striped markings still make her a beautiful little lady. One thing I've noticed about the finches is that they seem to travel in tiny groups. I don't believe I have ever seen just a single bird come in, they always have a few buddies with them.

SUperbly sharp capture of this female House Finch. It looks like it was taken in the late afternoon - a bit reddish rather than the typical brown of the female i see among ours..

The male sings better than a canary. Please click here >>> to verify.

Bom dia Ron,
Awesome shot! Wise use of flash, excellent sharpness and balance.
Pretty composition.

Hi Ron,
The way you used to use flash is breathtaking. With the help of it you always get proper exposure and great colors. Composition's superb also, as well as DoF, and you were lucky enough to have eye contact with the lady. :-) The whole image is a practical tutorial about how to use flash (and the technique overall) to get a top class picture. Thanks master! And of course, congratulations.
Best regards, László
