[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
One duck that I look forward to seeing every spring is the Northern Shoveler. This duck is quite unique looking due to it's long shovel like bill. It normally swims very low as it pushes it's spatula bill through the water in order to strain out tiny food particles.

I can usually find the Northern Shoveler in the back waters of Magee Marsh situated along the shores of Lake Erie. The day started off fairly nice except for the wind, which became more intense as the day went on. It eventually started to spit some snow which is visible in the photo.

Hello Ron,
This specie I meet also in my country. It is a colorful specie with nice green feather on the head. I am glad that you meet it because you take a exceptional image with sharp details despite the snow.....

It is a duck species that I have never seen in real, I would love one day to
have that chance and take it in photo, great shot with very fine low POV
