[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I just got back today from spending a week up at Magee Marsh birding. We had a mixture of weather, therefore the amount of warblers sighted seemed to be down the first part of the week.

Warmer weather the last few days seemed to be motivating the birds to migrate through. Last night a storm came through and the birds were to be found in large numbers this morning.

This particular bird is a Palm Warbler and is usually one of the first birds to appear during the spring migration. The Palm can be found during the summer in northern bogs and winters in the southeast. It can easily be identified by it's color and the way it bobs it's tail.

Normally found feeding on the ground it has a rather drab plumage compared to other more colorful species. It sports a pretty chestnut crown, yellow under it's chin and brows, and a dark streak running through it's eye.

Hi Ron,not easy to comment a perfection like that.Absolutely great the capture of this beautiful warbler, all is perfect, the sharpness, the colors and the pose too, impossible to do better.Have a nice Sunday and thanks,Luciano

Palm Warbler is a new bird for me, Ron.
You have captured it from a wonderful perspective; the frontal view shows its features and colors in superb clarity.
You always manage to get the catch-light in a bird's eye.
Thanks and regards.

Hi Ron,
Very nice shot. Nice composition, amazing colours
and perfect sharpness details with excellent background.
Regards Jiri.

Hello Ron,
very pretty capture. A pleasure to see the warbler's pose, the fine colours of its feathers, the distant background of well contrasting pale blue and green, the perfectly balanced dynamical composition. Interesting and well infoming short note, too.
Thank you!
With best regards,
Peter

Nice clear shot that would make it easy to identify this species from a guide book.Very sharp, great colors.

Hello Ron,
Like its BG. Well captured this Palm Warbler. Nice color and good composition. Another beautiful photograph.
Thanks for showing your experience in Marshland,
Regards,
Srikumar

Beautiful!

Hi Ron,

The brancehes are framing well the bird. The point of view is showing the details of the Palm Warbler. The good luminosity is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

Pierre
