Not quite as brightly plumed as it's mate, the female Magnolia in my opinion is still a beautiful bird. Pretty much the same markings, but muted quite a bit when it comes to color.

The Magnolia winters in Mexico, Central America and the West Indies then travels across the gulf of Mexica during the spring migration.

For some strange reason I seem to see more males then females during the migration, therefore capturing this pretty little lady was a treat for me.

I now wish I would have had my aperture set a little higher in order to get the tail in focus, but f/7.1 usually does the trick for me

The bird is well placed in the frame. The point of view is showing the details of the Magnolia Warbler. Using the light of the flash is bringing out the colors. Have a nice day.
