Immature Bald Eagle
|[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note|
|Take from the water at Kane's Creek at the Occoquan Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Several mature Bald Eagles had been visible during the morning so I somewhat cautiously believe this is an immature Bald Eagle. The strongly hooked beak makes me believe is is an eagle, not a large hawk species.|

Whatever the true ID of this bird, it is a very attractive presentation, Alan.
The posture of the bird is elegant and the exposure is spot on.

Hi Alan,a very good capture of this young eagle despite the difficult light, the typical pose and excellent detail too. Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano
Great shot of this immature Bald Eagle, with fine POV and appropriate
vertical framing, you captured him in its expressive glance, TFS

Looks like a young Bald Eagle to me and a great capture to boot. Nicely focused and presented in an attractive vertical frame. I saw quite a few of these lovely birds this spring at Magee Marsh.
Beautiful picture of this juvenile Bald Eagle. Although exposure doesn't look perfect to my test (lot of shadow areas), but I like vertical framing and good details on face as well as on its back.
Thanks for showing,
