[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A view into the crater of Mt. St. Helens where as I stood at this location a new vent opened in the lower forefront of the crater where one can see the newer rock as it appears to soon flow over the lip of the crater wall.

I will post an image of the opening of the vent in a following post.

Long ago the explosion of this mountain reminded me at that time I saw that in LIFE magazine, nice catch.

Hello Steven,
Great shot of this well known volcanic crater. I too remember the day it violently erupted killing 57 people.
Wonderful POV giving us a good look at its massive crater. The focus is excellent and the colors are beautiful. Well done!!

I like landscape :-)

Exceptional details here. Foreground colours look quite well but BG again got bluish tone. Not perfect exposure/WB.
