An unusual moment from the life of a lynx ...
Nikon Coolpix 8800 plus 1.7 TC (equals aproximatelly 600mm) taken on high jpeg (usually I do RAW and I recommend that to all since jpegs loose quality), on tripod with ballhead. Finally I am proud of the digital cameras, they got to compete with film ones in quality and the cost of switch is nowhere near as high as price of film and processing (do I sound odd ?!) I shot at least 100 images of this lynx and got probably five I will keep and it costed me nothing, not even had to change the film ...
Love the digital more and more every day ...

Expresiva imagen Radu con muy buena agudeza sobre el rostro y garras del animal.
La posición del felino en esta imagen es muy fotogénica.

Expressive image Radu with very good sharpness on the face and claws of the animal.
The position of the feline in this image is very photogenic.

Good image, nice to see a cat actually doing something other than sleep!. It would have been nice to be able to see the bottom of the paw on the right, but it's nice to see the claws so well displayed on the other paw.

Hope you don't mind the WS version I did, was just a quick polish up really.

Big or small, cats always will be cats :-) Excellent moment you captured, Radu. Amazing pose and face of this kitty. I love this shot.

Radu, Another great close-up of this great lookin' Lynx. Looks like it's doing his/her morning stretch? Great display of its "weapons" here! Well done!

This Lynx poses like my cat. Great shot. I like your composition. If I took a hundred shots of this cat, I would have chosen this one as well.
Is this lynx in rehab?
Well done

OOOhhh that after sleep stretch...great capture Radu. Excellent details and a very good feeling.

Very beautiful moment you brought to us. A nice composition, but what I like most is the feeling that the shot is really fresh and natural.

What a fat tubby. Excellent moment and details captured. Very nice POV. Well done.

Hi Radu
I believe this is a bobcat, or lynx, a very nice, robust pussy cat. I love them and think they are amongst the most beautiful small cats.
I like the lazy stretch here. I tried a workshop, more because I would like to get my mits on this feline than anything the matter with your picture.
Hoe you do not mind.

Great shot, and I agree with about digital, I am on my third one. Using a cannon 20D now, digital "film" is cheap. RAW is the way to go, the color is much better. I save as 16 bit Tiff.
