Yet another Osprey picture. I know of at least 8 nests in the Gorge this year.

Scientific name: Pandion haliaetus
Size: 21-24 1/2 in. long; wingspread 54-72 in
One of the most widely distributed birds in the world.
They do not breed until they are 3 years old.
Weight Males 2 lbs. 10 oz. to 3 lbs. 8 1/2 oz.;
Weight Females 2 lbs. 12 oz. to 4 lbs. 3 3/4 oz.
Flight Speed: 20 - 80 m.p.h.

Great work on a diffifcult subject! Nice POV and framing with the leading space in front of the osprey. I wish they were as plentiful here.

I really love the background in this image and the spread of the birds wings is awesome.

Wow now that's a great shot, I love the intense look in it's eye. I see you got this one around multnomah falls, one of the many nest sites. I like the room in front of him and the blurred forest behind, excellent job, your best yet I think!
