Awesome geology Manyee, this is a must see location for sure. Incredible amount of detail in this capture, plenty to keep my eye busy. The four corners really focus in on this centre pillar. This is fantastic, very well done.

Woof Manyee!!! This landscape is "à couper le souffle" (in french)! How far were you from the edge of the cliff??? Wondeful postal card picture with so rich colors!!! You managed the exposition so well and your composition and pov cannot be better! The only thing which is missing on this picture are the Indians ;-) Excellent job and TFS!

Hi ManYee
I just got stuck in the mud, but it seems like you were real close to get stuck in something much deeper here. One more step and it would have been one too many. You should remember next time to provide a flight plan to the nearest air traffic control tower before going sooooo close to the edge of such a deep ravine. I suppose one could call this "An in-depth study of a natural high" (endogenetically & endocrinologically) for I am sure there was quite a good measure of adrenaline flowing at this stage.
Great composition and clearly one that had a bit of thought put into it. The DOF is mind boggling (literally), the colours are breathtaking, the details are awesome, and exposure control was outstanding.
Excellent work and TFS.
Regards
Loot
PS. Looks like we're in for some amazing postings to follow this with the remarkable combination of you and the S3.

A very good picture, that brings out the feeling of grandeur, the depth and greatness of the canyons. I have only dreamt of such places, some day I hope i'll visit.
Thanks for sharing and thanks for that piece of history too.

Wow, this is stunning. I've always wanted to go here, and now you've convinced me, Manyee. The POV is really unique and interesting. It really draws me in. It almost doesn't even need the sky. I think the photos is solid just as it is. Two options for improvement -- shooting early or late in the day to improve the shadows, or, if you're that type, increase the color saturation a bit. Neither one is really necessary, though, as this is a stunning shot.

Magnificent landscape! Navajo Country is so deeply mysterious as it is bizarelly beautifull or ridiculously hot (or cold at night!).
