[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In the Many Glacier section of Glacier National Park, I found this nice example of beargrass (Xerophyllum Tenax). I composed it as part of the fg in front of a peak.

Weird EXIF data. Seems like a DoF shot like this I should have APed for f11, especially since I think I was using a tripod. I guess I was preoccupied thinking about lunch! Oh well, it looks like decent detail.

PP: A sharpen, resize, and frame.

I am still confused about apertures. My point and shoot camera often chooses very wide apertures and the DOF isn't bad : /

This is a nice photo with good natural color and interest in fore, mid and back grounds. There are so many photo ops in Glacier!

Thanks for sharing

Hello Mike, I feel the composition is a little weak in this image. I may have moved either to the left or right so as the tree does not obstruct the view of the mountain. I know your white flower are a large part of your compo, I would have moved closer to make them stronger. Again its hard to tell (not being there) what composition I may have used. Regards Steve.

Hello Mike, excellent work, Great details, Bg, POv DOF perfect work, TFS Kyle

Very nice shot Mike,
The details are nice, clear and sharp.
Good colours, lighting and exposure. POV is spot on.
Well composed and nicely framed.
Thanks for posting, have a great week

This is so beautiful, breathtaking actually. I love how the sun seems to be shining on those two bear grass blossoms. The hint of blue sky is wonderful as is the view of the rocky crags, well done.

Very lovely scene, Mike.
I really like the composition.
Those fragile little grasses shown against those massive peaks.
The scene has powerful visual impact.
TFS. : )
