Hi Dave,
Fine capture of a Yellow-bellied Sapsucker.
This is sharp and well composed with fine BG and catchlight in the eye, even though that eye is in the shade.

un très bon cliché pas facile à réalisé, cet oiseau étant souvent perché très haut.
la cadrage est excellent, et le jeu de camouflage avec le tronc intéressant.
Juste un légère perte de netteté (ws).

Hi Dave,
Your work just keeps improving! The composition is excellent. A difficult exposure with the back lighting, but you managed it well. I like how the sunlight just hits the edges around his head. Nice color saturation and good detail. I bet you are loving that 80-400.

Hi Dave

I'm still around here, my friend, just that time became a very limited thing for me. This year is the final one before the graduation of the second university studies for me, so I have to take more extra jobs to pay all the expenses that this final year implies (taxes, materials for my graduation thesis, etc)
I'm not forgeting my friends though. I watch from time to time what's new around TN and I hope that somewhere in mid - summer to be able to post and participate more consistent here. Till then, I just have to be patient.
And it's true that your photography is gaining artistic quality with every new shot you post here.

a wonderful shot, I love how its head is heighlighted by the sun. Very nice POV the sky makes a wondeful back drop to show of the details in the plumage. Goiod sharpenss and lovely colors.

Hmm Dave,
I like this picture for 3 things :
1.The pov, the trunk going from top to bottom and the torso and the head pointing out diagonally!! Its beautiful
2. The exposure, the exposure is so well managed , the details on the bird is amazing.
3. BG

Having said that the only thing i did not like is the frame around the picture ( its just my opinion, not really a nit)

Je découvre ta galerie, et je dois dire que tes photos d'oiseaux sont toutes plus belles les unes que les autres... Il n'y a pas assez de points (2 c'est vraiment peu) pour montrer combien j'apprécie...
