[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hard to tell is this is a female ruby-throated hummingbird or a female Anna's hummingbird. We saw one or more that were about half the size of this one, and assume they were newly hatched and making their first flights to out feeder.

I have seen a male with its bright red gorge (neck)and Cornell seems to indicate that Anna;s hummingbirds are larger, found on the West Coast, not East coast of the USA.

Taken close to dusk this evening.

This one appear to be about 2.5" - 3" / 6cm - 7.62cm long, and matches the description at https://www.allaboutbirds.org/guide/Ruby-throated_Hummingbird/id

Ruby-throated Hummingbirds fly straight and fast but can stop instantly, hover, and adjust their position up, down, or backwards with exquisite control. They often visit hummingbird feeders and tube-shaped flowers and defend these food sources against others. You may also see them plucking tiny insects from the air or from spider webs.

Tiny, with long wings and bill. Mostly white below, with buffy flanks, a dusky mask, and green upper ends.
